BAY OF ISLANDS

January - May

The Bay of Islands, popular itineraries include day and overnight fishing and cruising trips to local islands and bays and extended trips up and down the Northland coast from Tutukaka and the Poor Knights Islands to stunning Whangaroa Harbour.

Other destinations from the Bay of Islands base are the Cavalli Islands, the remote Three Kings Islands, Cape Karikari and North Cape are also fantastic fishing and cruising destinations. As part of any Bay of Islands charters, luxury accommodation can be arranged at The Landing Residences. AUCKLAND

December 2024

Ata Rangi will be based in Auckland this December for Christmas gatherings, corporate functions and scenic half or full day cruises. From Auckland you can enjoy a day trip around the Hauraki Gulf or an extended trip exploring the outer Gulf islands including Great Barrier, Little Barrier, Kawau Island, the Mercury Islands and the Coromandel.

Food and beverages are additional and can be designed to suit your requirements.

Food and fine wine

Ata Rangi offers full-service catering with an onboard chef and we’ll liaise with you before your charter to ensure your food and wine experience is perfectly suited to your preferences. A real sea-to-plate experience, for overnighters, the chef will incorporate the day’s catch into the evening meal or create a fresh platter for the following day.

Fishing and diving

As well as being fully equipped to catch marlin, snapper, swordfish and more, Ata Rangi has a dive compressor for guests who wish to enjoy some of the spectacular diving opportunities available in the Bay of Islands and beyond.

Watersports

Alternative leisure activities include paddle boarding, surfing, wakeboarding and snorkelling. Watersports can be enjoyed from Ata Rangi’s tender; an 18-foot Novurania with a 115hp Yamaha motor.
